Pantry

Snap your fridge.

Take a photo of your fridge. Get every shelf in frame. Automeal picks out the ingredients it can see. You check the list. Nothing’s saved until you confirm.

Recipes ranked by fewest missing ingredients: Air-fryer paprika chicken thighs and potatoes, 7 of 7 in your pantry; Shakshuka with feta, 9 of 10; Chicken fajita wraps, 10 of 12.

Recipes

Recipes that fit.

Dinners built from your pantry, your kitchen kit and the macros you have left.

FAQ

When can I use it?

From Friday 13 November 2026, starting in London. We invite the waitlist in batches and email you when it’s your turn.

Is it really free?

Yes. Free stays free, with no ads and no trial that turns into a charge. Pro is optional, and we remind you before any renewal.

How accurate are the numbers?

AI only identifies the food. Calories and macros come from CoFID, USDA and Open Food Facts, and you can see each source and adjust portions. Labels vary, so treat them as a good guide, not a lab result.

Does it work with Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Ocado?

Your list links to products at major UK supermarkets and can be shared or exported. Adding straight to your basket is on our roadmap. We’re not affiliated with these retailers.

What happens to my photos and data?
  • Photos: we analyse them only to find ingredients, then delete them from our systems. We keep just the ingredient list unless you choose to save the photo. Our AI provider (OpenAI) never trains on them and may keep them for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
  • Health data: your weight and goals count as health data under UK GDPR. We use them only to run your account and set your targets, and you can export or delete them any time.
  • Deleting your account: delete it in the app and everything goes within 30 days, backups included. Accounts unused for 24 months are deleted after a warning.
  • Waitlist emails: kept only until launch or until you unsubscribe.
  • Selling and ads: we never sell your data or show you ads.
Who is it for?

Adults 18 and over. It isn’t designed for people who are pregnant, managing a medical condition through diet, or who have, or have had, an eating disorder. If that’s you, please speak to your GP or a registered dietitian first.

Can I trust the allergen filters?

They make finding suitable recipes quicker, but products change. Always check labels, especially for serious allergies.

Is this medical advice?

No. Automeal gives general information to help you plan and cook. It doesn’t replace a doctor or registered dietitian.
